Beginning Location: Siem Reap, Cambodia
Final Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
This was perhaps the most relaxing morning we've had as our flights aren't until after 1 PM and we have nothing scheduled for the morning.
Around 1130 we departed the hotel for the Siem Reap International Airport. Check-in and immigration was relatively simple and soon we were in the gate area awaiting our flight on Vietnam Airlines to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
During the 20-minute bus ride through Ho Chi Minh City to the ship we passed through downtown "Saigon" recognizing the Opera House and the Notre Dame Cathedral. This is a city of two-wheelers, more bicycles and motorbikes than anywhere we've been. The ship was docked pier side on the Saigon River.![]() |

As the evening was still young we went ashore taking the ship's shuttle bus to the city center located across the street form the Rex Hotel.

We stopped at a local Starbucks and then headed for the Rex's fifth floor garden bar for drinks.

We spent a few minutes walking around the local streets and through parts of the "Tax Store" before taking the shuttle back to the ship around 8 PM.
After a light dinner we turned in for the night.
